Good to know

How long is the waiting period? +

Natural death carries a six month waiting period. Accidental death is covered immediately once your first premium is paid. Suicide has a longer waiting period, of up to 24 months depending on the plan.

Is there a joining fee? +

A small once-off joining fee of R50 applies on select plans, like the Grocery Plan. Your consultant will confirm the exact cost for the cover you choose.

Can I cover extended family? +

Yes — our Society options let you cover a main member plus 5, 9, or up to 13 additional members, across our Cash Benefit, Service and Grocery plans.

Which areas do you serve? +

We have branches in Klerksdorp, Botshabelo, Taung, Rustenburg, Mthatha, Emphangeni, Johannesburg, Zeerust, New Castle and Harts Water, and collect the deceased within a 50km radius of most branches.

Can I cover a foreign national? +

Yes — we have a special scheme that offers cover for foreign nationals, in addition to cross-border cover for relatives in Lesotho, Eswatini, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia.
